Professional Bio:

Antje is a globally recognized leader in social and behavior change (SBC) and health promotion with over 20 years of experience designing transformative health campaigns across 23+ countries. As Managing Director Behavior Change & Community Health at Save the Children US, she grew a team from 2 – 15 based on strategic business development until the team was dissolved after USAID's dismantling in early 2025. Antje's innovative work includes spearheading the award-winning "Good Life" social marketing campaign in Uganda and engaging in the integration of AI with SBC strategies. Throughout her career at organizations including FHI 360 and Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, she has developed evidence-based SBC frameworks (C-Change Modules) and participatory communication toolkits adopted across multiple countries and translated into 10+ languages. Antje has specialized in reaching marginalized populations including indigenous and nomadic communities, sex workers, truckers, and fishermen. A founding member of the Global Alliance for SBC and board member of the Africa Society for SBC, she holds an MHS from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an MA from Free University Berlin. Antje is also fluent in English, German, and Dutch, with conversational French.
