Mr. Monirujjaman a dynamic and results-driven international development global leader in agriculture, food systems, value chain and market systems development approach and good governance with over 20 years of experience designing, implementing, and scaling multi sectoral programs that bridge research with real-world impact. His expertise spans food systems transformation, food safety, nutrition, climate smart agricultural technologies, Value chain and market systems development, Business Development Services (BDS) and international trade and investment, with a strong focus on integrating evidence-based solutions across agriculture, market, health, education and private sector initiatives.
His backgrounds includes leading diverse teams, designing, implementing, and evaluating high-impact programs across food security, nutrition, climate-smart agriculture, market systems, SME development and Good governance in Bangladesh and South Asia with different international organizations (DAI Global, Abt Global, ACDI/VOCA, Winrock International, Tetra Tech, Swisscontact). With an MSc degree in Agriculture and a strong background in managing complex, multi-sectoral programs, He has consistently led national and regional teams to deliver donor-funded initiatives aligned with DFID/FCDO, USAID, EU, SDC, and private sector priorities. His expertise spanned every stage of program development from conducting applied research, designing interventions and developing Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs) and budgets to overseeing HR management, field operations, and partner coordination.
He has extensive experience identifying and building strategic partnerships with public and private sector stakeholders, CSOs, and financial institutions to scale sustainable, inclusive development solutions. Over the years, he collaborated closely with key government ministries and departments including the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industries, Ministry of Food, Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Department of Fisheries (DoF), Department of Livestock Services (DLS), Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA), BSTI, Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP), and the Bangladesh National Nutrition Council (BNNC). Also partnered with leading research institutions such as BARI, BRRI, BFRI, BRAC, and icddr,b, as well as the Bangladesh Bank and a wide range of MFIs, NGOs, INGOs, and private sector firms.
