Professional Bio:
Fatou Thiam has 20+ years experience in monitoring and evaluation, project design and management, strategic planning, and knowledge management. 
Fatou joined USAID/Senegal in January 2011 as Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist and was primary in charge of the Economic Growth Office’s portfolio (Agriculture, Nutrition, WASH, Private Sector, Biodiversity, and Climate Change). 
Fatou was the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) of the USAID/Senegal Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Project.
Fatou led the USAID/Senegal MEL working group and the USAID/Senegal Implementing Partners Working Group by organizing various trainings and events around developing th culture of Monitoring Evaluation and Learning.
Before joining USAID/Senegal, she served as Monitoring and Evaluation Expert for UNDP/Regional Energy-Poverty Program. Prior to this, she served as the Monitoring, Evaluation and Communication Manager for a USAID funded project aimed to promote exports in West Africa, a World Bank project focusing on the promotion of private investments in Senegal and for a USAID-funded project in Dakar, to support Senegal's private sector. 
She holds a DEA in Financial Markets (2000) and a Master in Economics with major in Econometrics (1998) from Université Toulouse 1-France. In 2008, she obtains a master in Economic Policy and Project Analysis from Université Cheikh Anta Diop Dakar.
