Professional Bio:

Harsha is a medical doctor specialized in public health practice, with extensive experience in global health emergencies and health systems strengthening. He began his career with the World Health Organization’s polio eradication initiative in India and was later deployed to Sierra Leone during the 2015 Ebola outbreak. He earned his Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, after which he managed a health center in a remote region of Ethiopia, gaining firsthand experience in delivering care in resource-limited settings.

Harsha later returned to Johns Hopkins as a faculty member at the Center for Humanitarian Health, contributing to research and training in global health response. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he re-entered the field to support response efforts—first in Suffolk County, New York, and subsequently by leading vaccine rollout efforts across more than 20 countries in Asia, Africa, and South America.
