Professional Bio:
Liton is an experienced program management and MEAL professional with over 14 years of expertise in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and research, gained across both headquarters and field offices in emergency and development settings. Of this, he brings more than nine years of senior management experience in organizations including BRAC International at the HQ level, where he monitored over 40 projects across nine countries in Asia and Africa. He has led and provided technical support in preparing annual, semi-annual, and quarterly reports across different programmatic areas, including child protection.
Liton has a strong understanding of M&E approaches and the requirements of various bilateral and multilateral donors, such as ECHO, USAID, FCDO, EC, World Bank, Irish Aid, German MFA, the UN, and several private foundations. His experience spans multiple sectors, including child protection, education, climate change, food security and livelihoods, health, and nutrition in both emergency and development contexts.
Currently, Liton works with CRS as a Consultant for MEAL start-up design in the Sudan program. Over the course of his career, he has developed considerable expertise in designing MEAL strategies, SOPs, plans, theories of change, results chains, and tools. He is highly skilled in partner management, proposal development, mobile phone-based data collection tools, data analysis, and reporting.
He has also worked with Christian Aid as a Sector Coordinator for MEAL and with Oxfam GB as a Program Quality & Documentation Officer. These roles provided him with valuable experience in designing MEAL frameworks and tools, managing complex online databases to monitor project progress, and producing high-quality documentation such as working papers, project completion reports, human-interest stories, good practices, and lessons learned for dissemination among donors, partners, and internal staff.
