Professional Bio:

Sarah Weber is a senior social impact consultant with 20+ years of experience with safeguarding/protection from sexual exploitation and abuse, global health, humanitarian response, and multilateral policy and governance issues. She has built a distinguished career across USAID and in field-based roles in West Africa, earning a reputation for translating complex strategy into concrete action in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.

At USAID, Sarah served as Senior Advisor for Safeguarding, where she established global partnerships, guided teams across 45+ countries on risk mitigation strategies, and spearheaded U.S. endorsement of an international policy framework eventually adopted by over 200 governments and organizations. Earlier, she led the development of the first-ever U.S. government framework — approved by the National Security Council — to address sexual exploitation and abuse within international organizations, and represented agency priorities across more than a dozen UN Executive Board sessions. She also advised on multilateral health initiatives, coordinating HIV/AIDS efforts between the U.S. government and United Nations agencies.

Prior to USAID, Sarah spent a decade in international development, providing technical expertise on global health programming with non-traditional donors, launching a $14M health program in Benin and Togo from the ground up, and leading post-emergency response operations in Liberia. Across these roles, she consistently delivered results above target while building high-functioning teams and rigorous accountability systems.

Sarah's core competencies include strategic planning and execution, program design and evaluation, policy development, multilateral partnership development, and organizational risk mitigation. She holds a Master of Arts in International Political Economy & Development and is professionally fluent in French. Sarah has lived and worked across Africa and the United States, including as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Côte d'Ivoire and a Fulbright Fellow in Botswana.
